BCCI Announces Schedule and Venue for IPL 2023 Playoffs and Final

In the latest development, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced the schedule and venue for the IPL 2023 playoffs and final.

The playoffs and the finals will be played from May 23 to May 28 in Chennai and Ahmedabad.

The Qualifier 1 will take place at the M.A Chidambaram stadium, Chennai on May 23, and the Eliminator will take place the following day at the same venue.

As it was speculated before, the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad will host the Qualifier 2 on May 26, and the all-important final on May 28.

Ahmedabad gets to host the IPL finals in back-to-back seasons. Last year, Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans defeated Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals in the finals at the same venue.

Talking about the ongoing IPL, the race to reach the knockout stage has got heated. Rajasthan Royals are at the top position, closely followed by the Lucknow Super Giants.

RCB, GT, MI and CSK have 6 points each and will be eager to leapfrog the table-toppers.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals, led by David Warner are tottering at the last position, with just a solitary win to their name.
