Getting over the line for the first time against Gujarat Titans (GT), Rajasthan Royals (RR) would be so much pleased with their effort as they clinched the victory in the final over. It was skipper Sanju Samson's 60-run knock which helped them recover from early losses along Shimron Hetmyer for his brutal 56 as he stayed there till the end.

For his finishing job, the Caribbean superstar has been handed over the player of the match award as he struck two fours and five biggies to help RR chase down 178.

Hetmyer in the post-match interview mentioned that it was kind of revenge for them after last year's decimation they received from the Hardik Pandya-led side.

Moreover, he said that with 100 required in eight overs, it was tough but he has always involved himself in these situations during their practice sessions.

"I don't know actually. Did really wanted to win against these guys as they beat us three times the last year. Wanted to get the revenge. I practice these kinds of situations actually when a couple of wickets go down and you had to get over 100 runs from 8 overs actually,"

Also, he mentioned that Noor Ahmed bowling last over wasn't actually a problem for him as he had planned to take double initially and then, take on the bowler after that.

"I was actually very happy, to be honest. He [on Noor Ahmad bowling the last over] bowled very well tonight. I was thinking if I could get a double in the first ball and then take it through; that was what I was thinking actually."

Rajasthan's next encounter will be against Lucknow Super Giants on 19th April at their home ground Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
