It was a horrible day for the visiting New Zealand when they clashed against Pakistan as after conceding 182, they couldn't chase down the target and instead got bowled out for a paltry 94. However, there was one moment in the game which the Kiwis must have been quite content with as it was the only positive.

It was during the fifth ball of the 13th over that BlackCaps' pacer Matt Henry picked up the wicket of Shadab Khan as he was caught by wicket-keeper Tom Latham. On the very next delivery, Iftikhar Ahmed edged his first ball to Latham which meant that Henry bagged two on consecutive deliveries and now, he will be on a hattrick.

Later, the right-arm pacer came in to bowl during the 19th over where on the initial ball which was faced by Shaheen Afridi, there was an outstanding relay catch taken by Daryl Mitchell and Chad Bowes who managed to keep the ball under play on the boundary line and dismiss the batter as well.

With this, Matt Henry recorded his name in the history books as his hat trick in Lahore made him the fourth New Zealand bowler to pick up one in T20I cricket.

Previously, Jacob Oram, Tim Southee and Michael Bracewell were the ones who have done it for the team from Oceania.

His effort helped his side to bowl out Pakistan in 19.5 overs but not before they had posted 182 on the board, on the back of 47 runs knocks both from Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub.

Later, an outstanding effort from Haris Rauf who picked up four wickets kept Tom Latham-side under 100.

Both sides will next meet on 15th April in the 2nd T20I which would again be played at Lahore.
