The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is taking on KKR at the Eden Gardens in the 19th match of the Indian Premier League. The home team won the toss and decided to field first in the match.

Russell Strikes for KKR

SRH got a brilliant start as Harry Brook steamrolled the KKR bowling. The only resilience that the home team's bowling could provide was by their experienced campaigner Andre Russell. It was in the fifth over of the innings that he came into the attack and took two wickets putting brakes on the scoring rate of the visitors.

Harry Brook continued his onslaught and got Aiden Markram as his partner. After the SRH skipper departed, Abhishek Sharma joined Brook and they continued to increase the scoring rate. But once again, it was Andre Russell who struck for KKR as he picked up the wicket of Sharma in first ball of the 19th overs.

But what came in as a big shock to the home team, Russell suffered a cramp while bowling the delivery. It seemed like a bad cramp and he had to walk off the field. No detailing has yet been given by the team but Russell coming out to bat for the team in the stellar chase seems a bit doubtful.

At the time of writing, Sunrisers Hyderabad had just finished their batting effort and scored 228 runs in their 20 overs. Harry Brook played an explosive knock of 100* from 55 balls and became the third SRH and fifth English player to score a century in the cash-rich league.

With 229 runs to be chased down, KKR will definitely need Russell to come out and bat in his usual style changing the complexion of the game.
