It was another last over thriller in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as Gujarat Titans (GT) sealed the chase courtesy of Rahul Tewatia who managed four on the penultimate delivery against Sam Curran. However, the base foundation was set by opener Shubman Gill who smacked 67 from 49 balls.

His knock came as a huge relief as others were clearly struggling on a difficult Mohali wicket as the run-rate started to fall in the middle overs.

Gill revealed that it was becoming an arduous task to pile up runs on this wicket as the soft ball wasn't travelling which meant that they had to work hard for singles and doubles.

Moreover, the right-handed batter who was phenomenal with the bat remarked that he missed out on winning the game for his side. Adding to this, he quipped something about Rahul Tewatia and Punjab King reminding about former's last over finishes.

"I think the wicket got a bit challenging in the end. It was hard to hit the sixes with the old ball. It was difficult to clear the boundaries on the square side. So it was important to hit the gaps and get singles, doubles, and the odd boundaries. I feel, I should've finished the match. But I think Rahul Tewatia and Punjab Kings is a hard love story. 

"It is just important to keep getting those singles, taking it ball to ball. After their innings got over, we got to know that it would be easier to score runs with the hard ball. It was important to have a good powerplay. We ticked that box."

Gujarat Titans will be next seen in the match against Rajasthan Royals on 16th whereas the Punjab Kings will feature in the clash against Lucknow Super Giants.
