Rashid Khan Creates History by taking First Hat-Trick of IPL 2023

Rashid Khan is known to be a game-changer for any side he plays for and he proved that once again while leading Gujarat Titans against KKR at the Narendra Modi Stadium. He picked up a spectacular hat-trick in the 17th over which included big wickets of Russell, Narine and Shardul Thakur. It changed the game dramatically to put GT on ascendancy when KKR looked well on their course to chase down a target of 205.

Rashid Khan started his 7th over with 50 needed for KKR to win in 24 balls with Russell and Rinku in the crease. They had the likes of Narine and Thakur to follow who played a blinder in the last game but the stand-in skipper of GT, Rashid Khan, vanished all these threats in a matter of just three balls and brought his team right on top.

Rashid was pretty expensive till that over with 35 runs in his opening three overs. However, he showed his class under pressure yet again as he often does and delivered a superb hat-trick with just 2 runs in his fourth and final over.  Rashid Khan now has four hat-tricks to his name in T20 cricket, the most for any bowler in the history of game.

At the time of writing, KKR need 29 runs from the last over with Rinku Singh and Umesh Yadav in the crease. Rinku Singh is looking well set and let's see how things unfold in what is turning out to be a cracker of a game.
