Arjun: Tripathi takes just one ball of this over to finish off the chase. Rahul Triphati, Aiden Markram and the bowlers have been the lionhearts of this win!! First victory of the season for SRH and it comes at their homeground. Watch out for them fellas. They can now become a force to reckon with in the competition after this victory!

With four boundaries in this over, SRH inches closer to victory! 17 runs coming off that Nathan Ellis over, just 3 required now. How deep can Punjab take now? One ball or two or more than that?

Triphati hits Rathee all across the park. 21 runs coming off that over. SRH need 26 runs to win now.

Nothing is going in Punjab's way at the moment. Both Tripathi and Markram are hitting shots at will. It seems SRH will go home with a victory tonight. The stadium has turned orange tonight, and they are getting each of their penny worth.

Arjun: The first SRH batter to get a fifty this season. Rahul- "Naam to sunahi hoga"!

On his IPL debut, here comes Mohit Rathee.

Arjun: Tripathi slaps hattricks of fours against Harpreet Singh. Today is the day of hattricks, it seems! 😉

Markram is here for the Orange Army!

And just like I asked, Chahar has broken a wicket for PBKS. Mayank Agarwal's stay ends at 21 off 20 balls. Sam Curran takes a skier at deep mid wicket as Agarwal gets down on a knee to play the slog sweep and lofts this high up in the air. Curran has his eyes on the ball and moves backwards finally getting underneath to complete the catch! SRH - 45-2 after 8.3 overs.

Arjun: Rahul Chahar vs Rahul Tripathi & Mayank Agarwal seems like a matchup! In the last innings as well, a leggie turned the table for his side. Can Chahar do the same? In this over, he got one or two deliveries to tease Tripathi but the batter slog swept him for a maximum. Would you call that 1-0?

Dropped!! Jitesh Sharma drops Mayank Agarwal here at 14 off Nathan Ellis' bowling. How big of a drop is this going to be?

Arshdeep breaks the partnership, Harry Brook is a goner! And he gets a savage send-off from Arshdeep after getting his woods cleaned up! The left-arm seamer knocks the leg stump over this time and Brook is a goner. He went for the whack across the line and is beaten on the inside edge. Arshdeep widens his arm and stares at Brook as he leaves the field.

Arjun: The SRH batters have gotten a boundary in each over so far. And Brook slaps another one here. Goes back and across to late cut Arshdeep past short third man. He's up and running, man! Goes downtown for a boundary this time around. SRH are at 27/0 after 3.2 overs.

Just one over for Sam Curran from this end, Harpreet Brar comes into the attack. Shikhar Dhawan will attack with his spinners now.

Punjab will continue with the left-left combination with the ball. Arshdeep Singh to bowl from the other end! And Mayank square drives him on the second ball.

Harry Brook starts off the chase with a cracking shot through cover-point.

He are back with the chase. SRH have got a new opening pair - Mayank Agarwal to open with the silk-stocking Harry Brook. Sam Curran to bowl with the new ball!

Aaaand he finishes on 99! What a fabulous innings from Shikhar Dhawan, one of the finest in the history of this tournament. 99 runs out of the 143 of the team total. Remarkable! PBKS finish on 143 for 9.

DG: 2 balls left, still 7 required to reach a deserving hundred.

DG: 4 balls left in the innings, Dhawan on 93. Can he do it? Drama, drama everywhere.

Dhawan etching closer to a memorable hundred. Out of 135, he has scored 91 runs. The others have just scored 44 runs in total. Dhawan has played one of the best innings of this tournament.

DG: Dhawan toying with Umran Malik! Six followed by a majestic boundary. He is batting at 75 and has single-handedly kept PBKS in this game. What a player!!!

49th IPL fifty for Dhawan!

He is fighting a lone battle here. Two sixes in a row and he also brings up the 100 for PBKS. Captain's knock from the southpaw. Unfortunately he is losing partners from the other end.

Ellis tries the big shot and perishes!

Leg-break on the stumps. Don't know why Ellis went for the reverse sweep. The ball strikes the gloves and hits the timber. Ellis departs for a duck. There was no need for that rash shot attempt.

AAAND another review by Chahar. This time for LBW shout. The original decision is out. Leg-break and Chahar misses the slog sweep as the ball hits him on the back leg. Looks clear from the naked eye. Impact is umpire's call and the ball was hitting the stumps, as the ultra-edge shows. Chahar has to walk back. 78-8

Batting team takes review for wide!

Short and down the leg side. Chahar misses the pull as the ball goes to the keeper. Chahar feels it should have been a wide. But hang through the replays, it looks as if the ball was closer to the glove and he might have nicked it.

The umpire has a second look and feels it's not a wide.

Wickets continue to tumble! Umran breathing fire!

Good length ball on the stumps. Too hot to handle for Harpreet Brar as he fails to get the bat down on time and the ball zips through the stumps. This is a great exhibition of sheer pace by Umran Malik. PBKS tottering at 77-7

Another player review, this time by Shahrukh Khan

A leg-break followed by a brilliant googly to fox Shahrukh. He misses the ball as it beats the inside-edge and thuds him on the pad. Shahrukh can feel a bit unlucky here as the wicket was umpire's call. The original decision was out and the batter walks back to the pavilion.

Stumping appeal!

A pearler from Markande as he tosses it up and spins the ball away from Shahrukh Khan. The batter loses his balance as Klaasen was quick to dislodge the bails. But replays shows the back-foot was just inside the line.

And the impact player makes no impact. Umran Malik strikes!

Sikandar Raza came in as an impact player and fails to get the scoreboard ticking. Umran dugs it short as Raza arches back and uses the pace to ramp it over third man. The ball travels quickly, but there was already a fielder placed there who makes no mistake with the catch. Raza goes for 5.

Sikandar Raza comes in as an impact player for Prabhsimran Singh. PBKS need batters and this has been a right call.

Commentators curse has just taken place! Sam Curran goes back now

Just when he was looking good for a big score, debutant Markande strikes to get the big fish. Nicely tosses it up and Curran dances down the ground for a big hit. No connection whatsoever as the ball takes the outside-edge and goes straight into the hands of the fielder at short third.

DG: After losing three early wickets, PBKS are trying to consolidate through Dhawan and Curran. These two need to play the next 7-8 overs for their team to have any chance of posting a competitive total.

In case you missed Lord Rinku's supremacy

Washington Sundar joins the attack. SRH need a wicket and can he be the game-changer?

DG: Sam Curran joins the party. Seems like OneCricket's own, Aashay Chopade has a midas touch. He backed Vijay Shankar, Shankar scored, he backed PBKS, they have won two matches in a row, and now he has backed Curran to perform.

Struggling Jitesh walks back! A sorry state of affairs for PBKS

He never looked in control and has to walk back to the pavilion. Jitesh survived an lbw call a few overs ago, but this time Jansen has his man. Length ball, outside the off. Jitesh throws his bat at it and the ball goes straight into the hands of the mid off fielder.

DG: Dhawan eases the pressure with two boundaries against Bhuvi Kumar. His presence will be the key if PBKS are to score a big total on this track.

Another one gone? SRH are confident

Similar line to what was bowled at Short. Good length ball, pitches on the middle and seams back in to cop a blow on Jitesh Sharma's front leg. Original decision was out, but Jitesh rightly goes for a review and he was right. The ball was missing the leg stump. It swung back in a bit too much.

Another one bites the dust! Debutant Matthew Short has to walk back!

Left-armers against right-handers is always a fun battle to watch. Perfect line and length from Jansen. Curls back in from a good length and beats the inside-edge to wrap him on the back leg. Short discusses with his partner for a review, but eventually decides against it.

Here's what happened at the toss

Loud appeal and up goes the finger!

Geez, what a start to this contest. The star of the previous two games, Prabhsimran Singh departs on the very first ball of the match. Hardly any footwork and the ball traps him in front of the stumps. Good length ball, nips back in from outside the off to beat the inside-edge. No chance for Prabhsimran to survive and he rightly denies taking the DRS.

Aaaand the players have made their way out! Shikhar Dhawan to open alongside Prabhsimran Singh. Bhuvneshwar Kumar gets the ball in his hand. Can he get some early swing?

Playing XI

Punjab Kings Playing XI: Prabhsimran Singh, Shikhar Dhawan (c), Matthew Short, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Shahrukh Khan, Sam Curran, Harpreet Brar, Rahul Chahar, Nathan Ellis, Mohit Rathee, Arshdeep Singh

Sunrisers Hyderabad Playing XI: Mayank Agarwal, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram (c), Harry Brook, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Washington Sundar, Marco Jansen, Mayank Markande, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, T Natarajan

Arjun: Geez, that was some game, DG. Lord Rinku supremacy. Well, still can't get over those sixes, but have to move on. Time for SRH vs PBKS...

DG: In case you have missed it, Lord Rinku has just demolished Gujarat Titans with some unbelievable hitting. He struck five sixes in the last over. Yes, five sixes to seal the game.

Toss Update

Dhawan says, Matthew Short is making his IPL debut. Bhanuka Rajapaksa is rested due to an injury scare he faced in the last game.

SRH have won the toss and Markram has elected to bowl first. Klaasen and Mayank Markande are making their debuts.

BREAKING: Heinrich Klaasen is getting is debut cap from Dale Steyn.

Pitch Report

The home ground of SRH will provide plenty of joy for the batters. The ball will skid under lights and stroke-making will be easy as the game progresses.

Head to head

Punjab vs Hyderabad Rilavry has been a lop-sided one over the years, with the latter getting an edge over SRH. In the 19 matches, the Sunrisers have won 13 games, while the Kings have just 6.

Team News

After two on two, Punjab Kings look like the most sorted team in the tournament thus far. However, they will have one more weapon added to their arsenal tonight, with Kagiso Rabada joining the playing force against the Sunrisers.

After getting a beating from Lucknow on Friday, the Hyderabad team will look to make some changes, especially to the keeper-batter Anmolpreet Singh, who leaked countless runs.
