The MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings delivered a strong performance at their home ground, Chepauk in the last game. The passionate crowd cheered every movement of their beloved, Thala and it was one hell of a spectacle. However, they are travelling now to MI's den, Wankhede Stadium and would be hoping to continue the momentum in a high-octane encounter.

They have lost one and won one game so far and it is their bowling that has come out to be a big concern which will be tested again against MI.

Let us now look at the predicted XI of CSK for the big game against Mumbai Indians

Openers

Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad

The opening pair of Conway and Gaikwad is one of the most dependable opening combination in the IPL. Both the batters can score runs consistently and Gaikwad especially has been in superb form. Expect the dynamic duo to make a big impact again.

Middle-Order

Moeen Ali

The dashing all-rounder is a big-impact player. He can change the complexion of the game with his powerful batting as well as his crafty off-spin. He picked four wickets in the last game and expect his bat to do the talking at the Wankhede Stadium.

Ben Stokes

Ben Stokes is a big-match player and there is no game bigger than MI-CSK in the IPL. Also, the English all-rounder has not yet delivered to his standards and would be itching to deliver against MI. The pitch at Wankhede will also help his style of play and could make difference with his bowling too.

Ambati Rayudu

The veteran batter has shown that he still can deliver goods with his smart batting. He has the ability to soak up the pressure and change gears according to the game situation which makes him an asset for CSK.

Shivam Dube

The powerful left-hander batter is a game-changer if he gets going. He hit some powerful blows in the last game and CSK would hope that he unleashes all his might at the Wankhede Stadium, his home ground in domestic cricket.

Ravindra Jadeja

Jadeja is a world-class all-rounder and is another player who has the ability to change the game both with the bat and ball. He is also due for some runs and wickets in IPL for a long time now and Jadeja may well bring out his best against MI.

MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni's charisma is just unavoidable and in the two games this season, the world-cup winning captain has shown that he still can deliver those famous last over biggies. His captaincy has always been a huge asset and let's see how Dhoni handles his resources against their arch-rivals MI.

Bowlers

Dwaine Pretorius

He could be the only change for CSK in this game. The Wankhede pitch will help pacers and Pretorius can be a good choice in place of Santner. The death bowling is also a big concern for CSK and Pretorius would be key for them in that phase of the game.

Deepak Chahar

The right-arm pacer has not been at his best so far but he will get some help at the Wankhede with the new ball. He is a quality bowler and an experienced player who needs to step up for CSK to put pressure on MI early in the innings.

Rajvardhan Hangargekar

The young man was impressive in the first game but failed to make an impact in the second one. He has the ability to notch up good speeds and showed some great composure at the death in the first game against GT. It is all about backing him and MSD is an expert in that department.
