After two blistering wins for Punjab Kings in the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the side is looking to seal their spot in the playoffs after a long hiatus. The Shikhar Dhawan-led side has been doing good with the presence of Bhanuka Rajapaksa in the middle.

However, even after all this, the Mohali-based side is waiting for their star overseas batter Liam Livingstone who currently is in England, undergoing his rehab.

A PBKS official revealed that the big hitter is likely to be here by the end of next week.

"He will be here next week."

But the real problem arose when an ECB official made a statement mentioning that his availability will only be confirmed after a few days as he is still in his recovery. Another thing is that he is currently with his Lancashire teammates with his ankle and knee issue posing to be a big problem.

"He's due to arrive mid-April. He is coming along nicely. He is still working through his rehab on the injury. He is currently working on his rehab at Old Trafford. He will be in India around April 15, the dates are fluid."

His arrival date was first mentioned as 15th of April but later, it was, in all likelihood, stated that the UK-born will be available for the game versus Gujarat Titans to be played on 13th April, Sunday.

Livingstone himself confirmed that he is hoping to get the clearance within a few days while adding that he is excited to get back on the field.

"Hopefully over the next couple of days, I'll get the clearance to head out there. I'm really looking forward to getting back out, getting back playing, and hopefully over the next 48 hours or so I'll finally get that."

It will be interesting to see if Livingstone reaches on time for the encounter or not.
