After posting a massive total of 205 on the board on the back of resurging innings from Shardul Thakur and Rinku Singh, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have called in an impact player, right before the start of the second innings against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

The Nitish Rana-led side has asked the 19-year-old leg-spinner Suyash Sharma to come in place of Venkatesh Iyer.

Iyer couldn't do much in the first innings as he was sent to open alongside Rahmanullah Gurbaz, managing only three after facing seven deliveries. His struggle came to an end after a David Willey delivery knocked his stumps over in the fourth over.

Meanwhile, Suyash is a Delhi-based player and is known to bowl with some mystery as he will be playing a huge role to partner veteran Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy.

Talking about the match, KKR were in deep trouble after being five down for 89 inside 12 overs but Shardul and Rinku stitched an 103-run partnership for sixth wicket, taking the score to 205 after the end of 20 overs.

As of now, RCB are 54 for 4, after playing eight overs as they need 152 more in the remaining 12 overs.
