After providing the first breakthrough against Mumbai, Mohammed Siraj has completed 50 wickets for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He bagged the milestone with the massive wicket of Ishan Kishan, who smashed two boundaries in the last over before getting out.

Siraj used his beloved weapon of short of a length outside the off-stump, asking the batter to take him on. The southpaw tried hoicking the seamer in the leg side but got a thick outside edge that carried till the third man, where Harshal Patel took a sharp catch.

Soon after that, Reece Topley joined Siraj’s party by sending the silk-stocking Cameron Green in the subsequent over.

The 29-year-old has also surpassed the legendary Zaheer Khan’s tally of 49 wickets for RCB, becoming the sixth-highest wicket-taker for the team.

Most wickets for RCB in IPL

Yuzvendra Chahal - 139 wickets in 113 matches

Siraj continued his fiery spell with the new ball as he almost swallowed MI’s skipper Rohit Sharma with a deadly bouncer aimed for the batter’s helmet, but a collision between the bowler and the keeper saved the MI captain. However, Akash Singh made Rohit nick behind to the keeper on 1 off 10 balls.

At the time of writing, Mumbai are crawling against the RCB pacers, with the score reading 29-2 after six overs, with Tilak Verma and Suryakumar Yadav in the middle for the five-time champions.
