MS Dhoni and the iconic six to win the 2011 World Cup will remain in the hearts of every Indian cricket fan. The whole nation erupted when MS Dhoni smacked Nuwan Kulasekara over deep mid wicket and the entire nation rose to its feet.

On this day, 12 years ago, India won their second 50-over World Cup against Sri Lanka. The Lankan Lions posted a healthy 274, and in reply, India won the match by 6-wickets, courtesy Gautam Gambhir (97) and MS Dhoni (91*).

When we talk about the 2011 World Cup final, that iconic six from the former India skipper still give goosebumps and 12 years later, MSD decided to re-create that moment on the eve of Chennai Super Kings' match against Lucknow Super Giants.

CSK social media handle posted a video of MS Dhoni, and the Twitterati went into a meltdown.

Here's how Twitter reacted to it.

Talking about CSK's first match, they were outplayed by the defending champions, Gujarat Titans. Despite a stellar knock by Ruturaj Gaikwad, CSK stumbled against a quality GT side and lost their opening fixture.

They are up against KL Rahul's Lucknow Super Giants, and CSK will be aiming to notch up their first points of the season.
