Cricket has seen some technical glitches, and one of it was witnessed in the IPL game between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Floodlight failure

Both the teams came out to the field for the start of the second innings. KKR needed 192 to win their opening contest, but there was a delay in the start of the innings as the floodlights failed to take off and the players were left with no choice but to walk off the field.

The match was halted for a considerable period of time as frustration grew amongst the players from both the teams.

Talking about the match, Punjab were asked to bat first and they made full use of the pitch conditions. Bhanuka Rajapaksa was the star with the bat, as he scored a quick-fire fifty and laid a strong foundation for the other batters to capitalise on.

Sam Curran, the most expensive player in the history of IPL gave the finishing touches as PBKS finished strongly on 191 for 5.

Despite going for runs in the initial 10 overs, KKR restricted the flow of runs in the last 10 overs.
