Shubman Gill continues his love-affair with the Narendra Modi Stadium, as he once again scored a crucial fifty on this ground.
Every player has that one ground wherein he feels comfortbale and at home, and that's the case with Shubman Gill.
In the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Gill scored a brisk 36-ball 63 and kept Gujarat Titans in the run-chase.
On this very ground, Gill scored a gritty 45 in the finals of the IPL 2022 against Rajasthan Royals. He continued to make runs at the very stadium, and brought his maiden T20I century against New Zealand a few months ago.
Chasing a tricky 179 in the opening match of the IPL 2023, he once again stood tall and took the pressure of the other batters. Gill made full use of the power-play and never allowed the CSK bowlers to settle in, as he slammed 6 fours and 3 sixes in the innings.
He was eventually dismissed for 63 by Tushar Deshpande, but his innings has kept GT in a strong position to win the match against CSK.
