The Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL 2023) is here and with that comes the opportunity for hardcore fantasy cricket players to participate in the IPL Season Long 2023 contest.
Whats is the IPL Season Long 2023?
IPL Season Long 2023 is a virtual game where you can build a team and participate in fantasy contest spanning for the entire season of the tournament. You will be given limited credits to sort out the eleven for the season.

You can make changes prior to every match but the total number of transfer for a season is limited (150). There are also some other limitations like the number of overseas players in the team or the maximum number of players you can have from a certain team.
The game allows you certain boosters which you can use to your benefit throughout the season.
Now lets us move on to the main task, that is building a team in the contest.
While building my fantasy team for the IPL Season Long 2023, I will keep a few things in mind.
- I will concentrate on making a core depending on the matches that will be taking place in the upcoming week.
- Focusing on making a strong Indian core as the name of the tournament is 'Indian' Premier League and there will be more Indian players taking the field in each match.
- Trying to keep a team where atleast 4 players of the team take field in each match.
So, let us first look at the number of matches each team will play in the first week of the tournament. (31st March-7th April)

Seeing this in my team for the GT vs CSK match, there will be more players from CSK, GT and LSG. I will take the least number of players from MI as they will play only a single game this week.
