Former Indian cricketer, Aakash Chopra, expounded his view on Delhi Capitals' formidable bowling attack and lavished high praise for one of their star pacers, Anrich Nortje ahead of the commencement of the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League.

As Delhi vie for their maiden IPL championship, their paramount strength lies in their stellar bowling unit, which boasts an impressive lineup featuring the likes of Kuldeep Yadav, Lungi Ngidi, Khaleel Ahmed, Chetan Sakariya and several others.

"The bowling looks formidable. There is no weakness in bowling," said Aakash Chopra on his program on Jio Cinema.

Chopra commented that the bowling lineup of the Delhi Capitals appeared formidably strong and lacked any apparent weaknesses. He praised the performances of Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, who were outstanding in the previous season, taking several wickets and exhibiting excellent skills on the field.

Furthermore, the renowned commentator stated that the DC team possessed an excellent bowling attack. He adds that Anrich Nortje is a key player for DC and feels that bowling will not be an issue for DC as they have other talented bowlers too in their arsenal.

The former Indian opener heaped praise over Nortje's outstanding skills, stating that he is his favourite T20 bowler after Jasprit Bumrah and that he is truly remarkable.

Chopra also mentioned that DC formerly had Shardul in their team, but he is gone now and the presence of the South African speedster, who is healthy and eager to compete, is a big advantage for the team.

"They used to have Shardul, they let him go. Now that Anrich Nortje is fit, available, and raring to go, it's incredible. He is my favourite T20 bowler after Jasprit Bumrah. He is absolutely brilliant," he added.

Meanwhile, ace Australian batter David Warner will lead Delhi in Rishabh Pant's absence, and their first match of the season will see them face off against the KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday, April 1.
