South Africa created history on Sunday, chasing down a world-record T20I target in the second match against West Indies. Powered by Quinton de Kock's blazing maiden T20I century, the Proteas reached their target of 259 runs in 18.5 overs to etch their name in the record books.
Johnson Charles' 39-ball hundred saw West Indies score the joint sixth-highest T20I score at Centurion. The win has locked the three-T20I series 1-1 after the Windies won the first T20I.
De Kock, who shared a 152-run stand with Reeza Hendricks, stated that the pair has done something to be proud of.
The 30-year-old's innings included nine fours and eight sixes, which pales in comparison to Charles' knock, where the batter slammed 10 fours and 11 sixes.
On the other hand, Hendricks scored 68 off 28, hitting 11 fours and two monstrous sixes.
As per cricket.com, the Lucknow Super Giants player on batting approach said that Centurion is known to produce runs and batters wanted to pick the right options to score.
