Australian captain Pat Cummins has expressed his admiration for England's ‘Bazball’ mantra and its impressive results in recent Test matches under coach Brendon McCullum and captain Ben Stokes. The approach has brought England 10 victories in 12 Tests, including a 3-0 whitewash against Pakistan on their home ground.

While speaking to Fox Sports, Cummins noted that the English team has been sticking to their method of attacking cricket, regardless of the circumstances in the game, which is commendable. He also acknowledged that they have found a way to play a completely different style of cricket that gives them the best chance of winning.

“They’ve really stuck to their method and are willing to live and die by that method. They’ve been impressive, they’ve found a way to play a totally different style that gives them the best chance of winning,"

Despite his praise, the pacer confirmed that the Australian team will not be trying to imitate Bazball during the Ashes series. Instead, they will focus on their own style of play, which has been successful for the past 18 months. He emphasized that it is important to worry about what they do well, rather than focusing on the opposition.

“Over the last 18 months, the way we’ve gone about it has been really successful, so you don’t want to lose sight of that. I think that’s the most important - worry about what we do well, rather than looking at the opposition."

Regarding David Warner's future, the Australian talisman suggested that an attacking opener like Warner can put pressure back on the bowlers, which has been the hallmark of his career. He pointed out that the new ball can be tough for opening batters in England, where it seams around.

However, the lanky speedster reckoned that openers who can put pressure back on the bowlers are invaluable, as they present a different challenge. He further stated that this has been the key to Warner's success and what is needed from him in England.

When asked about Warner's potential role as opener in the Ashes series, Cummins gave no clear indication. “We’ll have to wait and see,” concluded Cummins.
