To the delight of fans across the globe, the most lucrative T20 tournament, the Indian Premier League, is knocking at our doors. With ten star-studded teams set to clash, the competition promises to enthral the spectators with multiple twists and turns.

Ahead of the tournament, experts have started analysing the strengths and weaknesses of the franchises. Meanwhile, former Indian batter Sanjay Manjrekar reckons that Royal Challengers Bangalore have the most formidable bowling lineup going into the tournament.

As quoted by Hindustan Times, Manjrekar opined that the presence of Josh Hazlewood, Reece Topley, Wanindu Hasaranga, Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel makes RCB's bowling unit better than their competitors.

Here's what Manjrekar stated

"Their pace bowling has depth. Even if Hazlewood is not fit, then they have Topley. In spin, they have Wanindu Hasaranga. They have Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel. Their bowling is perfect and even Maxwell can bowl. In this IPL, according to me, the best bowling attack belongs to RCB and that is their combined x-factor."

Although Manjrekar is astute in his assessment, RCB's bowling unit will undergo a litmus test this year, as they will play most of their matches at the batting-friendly Chinnaswamy ground. Led by Faf du Plessis, RCB will kickstart their IPL 2023 campaign against Mumbai Indians on April 2.
