India captain Rohit Sharma became the eighth cricketer from his country to complete 10,000 international runs in Asia.

When Rohit came out to bat in the second innings for India, he required four more runs to break through the milestone. As he scored the fourth run in the fifth over of the innings bowled by Mitchell Starc, he bagged the massive achievement.

With this, the 35-year-old now features in the list that includes the names of legends such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni, etc.

Meanwhile, India are coasting in a run-chase of 270 runs, albeit have lost their skipper. While Rohit looked set for a big score, he played a pull off a Sean Abbott delivery straight to the fielder, stationed at deep square leg.

After Rohit got dismissed after scoring a 17-ball 30, Shubman Gill also perished at the hands of Adam Zampa. At the time of writing, India are at 91/2 in 17 overs with Virat Kohli and KL Rahul unbeaten at 14 and 8 runs respectively.
