Everyone remembers that one delivery that Kuldeep Yadav bowled to Babar Azam in the 2019 World Cup. He bowled a similar kind of delivery at the Chepauk against Alex Carey. The only difference between those two dismissals is the lengths of the deliveries and the style of batters.

On Wednesday, the Indian Chinaman bowled at his supreme best on a track that assisted his skillset. In his spell of 10 overs, he snapped 3 major wickets - i.e. David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne and Alex Carey. However, the last one of those was his best of the day.

Against the southpaw, Kuldeep bowled a beautiful delivery that pitched at a good length around the middle and leg stump. It was a leg-spinner, which drifted away from the left-hander to see his off stump go for a cartwheel.

Carey's dismissal was the final nail in the coffin for the Australians, as he was the last recognised batter to fall. 

At one stage, the visitors were looking to take the Indian seamers for cleaners when Travis Head and Mitchell were batting, but a surge from Hardik Pandya brought India back in the hunt before the wrist-spinner laid his trap against the touring middle order.

After the first innings, Australia have posted a challenging total of 269-10, thanks to the exploits by the tail in the death overs.
