Ahead of the second One-Day International (ODI) today, Ireland coach Heinrich Malan spoke about not taking Bangladesh's pace bowling attack lightly. Ireland lost the first ODI by 183 runs after Ebadot Hossain and Taskin Ahmed rocked their batting line-up, chasing a mammoth 339 to win.

Hossain missed out on a fifer, ending with four wickets in his 6.5 overs spell. As per cricbuzz, Malan said that Bangladesh is not only about spinners, but also their potent pace attack, which under helpful conditions is troublesome.

Here's what Malan said

"Look, let's not look beyond the fact that Bangladesh has three quality seamers too. They highlighted last night that they have become a very good all-round side.

It is not just about playing spin anymore. They have an accomplished seam attack. If it is a little overcast and rainy, it will be a little more comfortable for us. We have to play in what's in front of you and we are looking forward to the challenge in Bangladesh,"

Malan further talked about Ireland finding ways to pick wickets in the middle order and hoped they could put their opponents under pressure.

The three-match ODI series will be followed by as many T20Is and a one-off Test. The T20I series will be played in Chattogram, while the Test will be held in Dhaka.
