On Monday, Bangladesh and Ireland will clash against each other in the penultimate ODI of the three-match series in Sylhet. The hosts, already one-nil up, will aim at claiming another victory as well as the series.
Team Preview: Bangladesh
After whitewashing England by 3-0 in the recently held T20I series, Bangladesh stood up to the Irish challenge remarkably, steamrolling the visitors by a whopping 183-run margin in the first ODI.
Batting first, the Tigers posted a mammoth total of 338 runs on the board, courtesy of blistering knocks from Shakib Al Hasan and Towhid Hridoy. While the veteran Mushfiqur Rahim gave them finishing touches, Ebadot Hossain's spectacular four-fer ensured a clinical victory for the home side.
However, skipper Tamim Iqbal's dismal batting form has emerged as a huge concern for Bangladesh. With the ODI World Cup scheduled later this year, the stylish southpaw would like to regain his mojo as soon as possible.

On the contrary, Ireland had a disastrous outing in the previous game, being outclassed by their opponents in all departments.

Although they had Bangladesh down on the mat, reducing them to 81 for three at one stage, the Irishmen allowed Shakib and Hridoy to stitch a match-winning stand and help their side bounce back.
The visitors were equally miserable with the bat, as their five batters were dismissed for single-digit scores.
So, ahead of this face-off, there are plenty of grey areas to assess for Ireland, who will be keen to turn things around and restore parity in the series.
