There is no stopping the Mumbai Indians franchise in the ongoing Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023, who won their fifth-match in a row last evening, defeating the Gujarat Giants by a massive 55-run margin.

This win secures MI a place in the top-three with 10 points, who lead the table ahead of Delhi Capitals (8). Harmanpreet Kaur once again led from the front, scoring 51 off 30, helping her side post a 162.

Gujarat Giants, in their chase, could only manage 107 runs, as Natalie Sciver-Brunt and Hayley Matthews claimed three wickets each to down their opponents.

Speaking during the post-match presentation, Kaur credited the team's unbeaten streak to the support staff.

MI's backroom staff is loaded with star power with the likes of Jhulan Goswami, Charlotte Edwards, Devieka Palshikaar, and Lydia Greenway.

Here's what Kaur said

"Credit goes to all the support staff and teammates. The way we have been playing, we want to continue. We are so positive and they always want to do well for the team. When we got this team, I was really happy, they were doing well for the country and now they will do the same for MI,"

Mumbai will play their next game against UP Warriorz on Saturday at DY Patil Stadium.
