Despite being an incredibly talented seamer, Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah hasn't really taken off his international career, marred by frequent injury setbacks. Bumrah, who was once expected to place himself among the legends of the game, has recently missed plenty of action due to a prolonged back injury.

Notably, the injury, which surfaced in August last year, ruled the 29-year-old out of the Asia Cup and the subsequent T20 World Cup. Although the experienced pacer was included in India's squad for the Sri Lanka home series, he was sidelined in the eleventh hour due to a recurrence of the injury.

As Bumrah continues to rehabilitate after undergoing successful back surgery in New Zealand, a one-year-old video, which sees legendary former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar predicting his injury, is getting viral on social media.

In the video uploaded by renowned sports channel Sports Tak, Akhtar explains to famed journalist Vikrant Gupta the prime reason behind Bumrah's injury-proneness, which he anticipated to affect the fast bowler's career adversely.

Meanwhile, as per emerging reports, Bumrah will likely take twenty four weeks to regain full fitness. So, if everything goes right, the pacer will start hitting the nets in August and make the case stronger for his inclusion in India's ODI World Cup squad.
