Pakistan young wicket-keeper batter Azam Khan reacted over his selection in the Pakistan's T20I squad for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan scheduled to start from 24th March in Sharjah.

The 24-year-old tweeted a famous meme to show disbelief over his selection in a funny manner.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday announced a 15-member squad for the three match series against Afghanistan. Shadab Khan will lead the side in absence of Babar Azam, who has been rested.

Following the announcement of the squad, Azam, through his Twitter handle, shared a meme which origins from a Pakistani dare reality show.

"Me right now," Azam wrote in his tweet, adding the meme in which the contestant showed his disbelief to the host, asking him constantly if he is selected.

Azam has been in great form in the recent past, scoring runs almost everywhere. His performances in the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League and in the ongoing Pakistan Super League earned a recall in the Pakistan's T20I squad. The Islamabad United's player scored 280 runs at a brilliant strike rate of over 160 in nine matches for the franchise this season.

Along with Azam Khan, Abdullah Shafique, Faheem Ashraf and Imad Wasim have also been recalled to the T20I team.

Earlier, Najam Sethi, head of PCB Managing Committee, claimed that the selection of the T20I for this series has been done aiming to give more opportunities to the young players.

As a result, the 15-member Pakistan's T20I squad comprises four uncapped players, namely, Ihsanullah, Saim Ayub, Tayyab Tahir and Zaman Khan.

Fakhar Zaman, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Mohammad Rizwan are the other few big names who have been rested with skipper Babar.
