Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria believes that the ongoing fourth Test of the four-match series between India and Australia in Ahmedabad will end in a draw.

With the World Test Championship points at stake, teams don't generally go for a draw nowadays. The introduction of WTC has added a new layer of excitement to the longest version of the game.

In the ongoing Test series between India and Australia, the first three matches produced results. However, the fourth Test is heading towards a draw, reckons Kaneria.

Speaking on his Youtube channel, Kaneria said the fourth and penultimate Test match of the Border-Gavaskar series being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is heading towards a draw, adding that the wicket is lifeless, offering nothing to the bowlers.

"This Test match is heading towards a draw. I don't think we'd get to see a result in this game. Australia could take their chances if they can somehow take a lead by bowling out India early on Day 3. There is nothing on offer for the bowlers on this wicket. There isn't enough turn and the break is quite slow as well,”  said Danish Kaneria on his YouTube Channel.

To win a Test match on an almost dead pitch, it will take a big effort from both teams as the there are only two days remaining in the Test match with two more innings to go. This is an important Test match for India if they want to qualify for the WTC final.

A win will take them to their second WTC final. But in case India loses or the game is tied then the outcome of the New Zealand-Sri Lanka Test series will decide India's fate.

Currently, the centurion Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli are in the middle, with India trailing by 266 runs at Ahmedabad on Day 3.
