The Mumbai Indians continued their dominating run in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023, beating an in-form Delhi Capitals franchise to keep their three-match win streak intact. Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, Mumbai bowlers strangled Delhi batters into a spinning frenzy, folding them for 105 in just 18 overs.

Yastika Bhatia, Hayley Matthews, and Natalie Sciver-Brunt ensured they chased down the target in 15 overs to help the Mumbai Indians consolidate their top spot in the points table.

Speaking during the post-match presentation, Kaur hailed her bowling unit for producing excellent results match-after-match.

Saika Ishaque and Matthews lead the bowling charts with nine and six wickets, respectively. The duo have been ably supported by Issy Wong and Amelia Kerr. Kaur stated that having so many bowling options has made her job as a captain easier on the field.

Here's what Kaur said

"Today our bowlers did really well. They’re making my job easier. Whoever comes in is eager to bowl. When you have so many options, your job is so easy. Credit to our bowlers. Bowling according to the field is key in T20s and we’re able to do that. After the last game we all discussed that we bowled some bad balls."

Mumbai will go up against the UP Warriorz on Sunday.
