The upcoming three-match T20I series between Afghanistan and Pakistan has now been preponed after a mutual agreement between the hosts, Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The series will now begin on March 24, as opposed to the originally scheduled March 25, while the second and third T20Is will be played on March 26 and 27, respectively.

The rescheduling is due to the unavailability of Hawk-Eye Technology for the earlier released dates. Both boards have decided to take all necessary steps to provide the best broadcast experience for the first-ever T20I series between the two nations.

Here's what the statement read

"Afghanistan Cricket Board and Pakistan Cricket Board have jointly agreed to make slight tweaks to the itinerary of Afghanistan’s home three-match T20I series against Pakistan. The start of the series is brought forward by a day and will now start on March 24, with the last two games to be played on March 26 and 27 in Sharjah, UAE."

Revised Schedule for AFG vs PAK T20Is

1st T20I - March 24
2nd T20I - March 26
3rd T20I - March 27

Both sides have mostly played cricket against each other in ICC and ACC-run events, with their only ODI and T20I coming back in 2021 and 2013, respectively.
