Jason Roy Calls His 145* Against Peshawar As "One Of The Greatest"

It was a day of the batters in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) where 241 runs were chased with ease as Babar Azam and Jason Roy thumped unbelievable centuries for their respective sides, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators, respectively.

The game was never looking for the bowlers as all of whom found it extremely tough to bag wickets during the entire course of the match. Moreover, with just four batters dismissed in the entire day with one of them being run out, the batting paradise pitch saw as many as 21 sixes being hit from both sides.

The match was an incredible one as the game finished with 10 balls remaining, thanks to an incredible effort from England's Roy was achieved the record of scoring the highest individual score in the PSL history.

His unbeaten 145 runs earned him plaudits from all quarters of the game as he overshadowed Babar Azam's 115 and later, himself called it one of his best T20 innings ever. Further, the right-handed batter was quite content with his blitz that even called it one of the greatest.

"This is my best T20 innings, no doubt about it. Obviously a great wicket and fast outfield, so it's just a case of trying to hit as many four and sixes and get close to the total and see where we are at. I am sure this will go down for me as one of the greatest, and it will definitely live for a long time in my memory.

"Anytime you are chasing over 200 and you chase that totally - doesn't matter what the pitch is - it's still an incredible feeling. For me, in T20 cricket, this is my favourite-ever innings because I was there till the end."

Jason's power show gave Quetta a much boost, however, they are still reeling at fifth position and will require more wins in the upcoming days.
