Royal Challengers Bangalore are in the doldrums, having lost all of their three matches in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023 so far.

After Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians capitulated the Smriti Mandhana-led side, Gujarat Giants handed them a close 11-run defeat in their last game.

As for standings, RCB are at the bottommost position with Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz above them. Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals are the two undefeated teams and occupy the first and second spots respectively.

Despite being the cellar dwellers, the Challengers still have a remote possibility of being one of the top three teams at the end of the league stage.

For that to happen, RCB must win all of their remaining matches. It will take them to five victories, which is supposed to be the general threshold to reach the playoffs in the ongoing WPL season.

Even four wins can take them through, however, the net run rate is then likely to come into the picture. Moreover, the franchise would need to rely on other teams as well.

Notably, in the WPL 2023 playoffs format, the number one side after the round-robin will get the final ticket. The second and the third-positioned teams have to compete in a semi-final.

RCB's next fixture is scheduled against the UP Warriorz on March 10 at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
