The fourth Test between India and Australia has just taken an interesting turn, as the Indian bowlers have struck twice in the earlier half of the final session. After Ravindra Jadeja broke the third wicket stand between Steve Smith and Usman Khawaja, experienced seamer Mohammed Shami castled the gritty Peter Handscomb with a magnificent length delivery.

After Smith departed in the 64th over just after the tea break, Peter Handscomb joined a well-set Usman Khawaja in the middle. Indian captain Rohit Sharma immediately went back to his pacers, considering Handscomb's vulnerability against the seamers.

However, Umesh Yadav failed to execute the short-ball ploy, as the Victorian neutralised him effectively, striking crucial boundaries at times. Umesh's failure compelled Sharma to brought back his ace speedster Shami to bowl the 71st over.

Shami began his new spell with a well-targeted bouncer to Usman Khawaja. After the southpaw took a single, Handscomb was exposed to Shami's lethal delivery, which saw him walking back to the pavilion with disappointment written all over his face.

The right-arm seamer pushed the batter on the back foot and then pitched the ball slightly fuller to jag back in and shatter his off stump. With Handscomb's dismissal, India made a remarkable comeback into the game.

As of writing, Australia are 180 for four in 73 overs, with Cameron Green and Usman Khawaja batting on 5* and 74*, respectively.
