Twitter Misses Rishabh Pant After KS Bharat Drops A Sitter In Ahmedabad Test

On Thursday, the fourth Test between India and Australia began in a grand style, with the Prime Ministers of both countries attending the morning session of the game. However, Indian keeper-batter KS Bharat had a forgettable start to the day, as his keeping mishap earned him backlash from the Indian cricket fanatics.

Notably, the keeper dropped swashbuckling Australian batter Travis Head off Umesh Yadav's bowling.

Yadav, who asked some tough questions to the Australian opening duo through some movement off the deck, finally managed to draw an edge of Head's bat in the sixth over, when he was batting on seven.

However, Bharat dropped a dolly behind the stumps, preventing Yadav from getting his first wicket of the match.

Although the dropped chance didn't cost India much, the 29-year-old received a lot of flak for his casual effort with the gloves. While some people questioned his place in the Test side, some missed India's regular keeper Rishabh Pant.

Meanwhile, some passionate fans asked the Star Sports expert panel if India could've replaced Bharat with the dynamic left-handed batter Ishan Kishan.

Bharat hasn't had a great series with the bat either, managing only 57 runs at a miserable average of 14.25. So, he will be keen to prove his mettle and silence his critics when he comes out to bat in India's first innings.
