Team India suffered a resounding nine-wicket loss to Australia in the third Test at Indore, which saw Australia cement their place in the WTC 2021-23 finals. The fourth and final Test is scheduled to take place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, starting on March 9th.

Team India is contemplating making a few changes to their playing XI, with one of the most surprising possibilities being the inclusion of Ishan Kishan in place of KS Bharat.

Bharat's underwhelming displays in the previous matches could be the reason behind the proposed change. Over the course of the first three Tests, Bharat has scores of 8, 6, 23 not out, 17, and 3 across five innings.

Meanwhile, India's head coach, when asked about Bharat's underwhelming performance, came out in his defence, stating he might not have scored big so far but he has delivered some impactful knocks.

"We are not (concerned) and it again comes to a question of perspective and understanding of some of the challenges and conditions that he has kept in and even though it’s not a big contribution but he got 17 in the first innings,"

“Got a nice contribution in Delhi where he played positively, and you need a little bit of luck in these conditions and he hasn’t probably had that, and he is shaping really well and keeping really nicely for us. So we need to put batting performance in perspective."

Ishan Kishan was seen practising in nets with Dravid closely observing him. KS Bhart, meanwhile was rested from the optional session but is likely to turn up for the training session on Wednesday.

The second change that India will go with in the fourth and final Test is inclusion of their star pacer Mohammed Shami, who was rested from the third Test. Meanwhile, for Australia, Steve Smith will lead the team in the fourth Test as well in the absence of Pat Cummins.
