Steve Smith Shocked After Hearing Talks of Australia Playing Three Pacers

After a roaring victory against the Indian side at Indore's Holkar Stadium, stand-in skipper Steve Smith has been commended for his leadership skills. The batting maestro is leading the side to fill the void left by original captain Pat Cummins who went back home to attend to his ailing mother.
Meanwhile, Smith has been enjoying his time in the subcontinent as he bailed his side out of trouble after they faced two consecutive defeats in the first two games of the series.
Moreover, there are some murmurs going around in the Australian circuit where they are expecting the side to go ahead with three pacers and a spinner for the fourth and final Test as the pitch is predicted to be a little more supportive for the pacers and somewhat more for batters.
But the right-hander has been left stunned by these suggestions as he believed that the conditions, here in India are pretty much spin friendly with batting being extremely difficult.
"It's been weird with a bit of the commentary back home, people talking about us playing three quicks and one spinner.
"It's kind of mind-boggling to me when we look at these surfaces and we see what we've had – 11 innings in six days or something like that. Spinners have taken the bulk of the wickets and you see how difficult it is to play the spin. It's kind of odd to hear that kind of commentary.
"But we've had faith in what we're trying to do and it's good that we are able to show that we can play with three spinners and win."
It will be interesting to see if Australia chooses to go three spinners as they have done previously or change their strategy going into the fourth game that begins on 9th of March in Ahmedabad.
