India's dynamic captain Rohit Sharma after copping some criticism from former cricketers and some pundits after the side's defeat in the third Test against Australia has responded. The biggest claim from the all was made by none other than former head coach Ravi Shastri who thought that the side became overconfident.

This was refuted by Sharma who boldly remarked that it is all 'rubbish'. The senior pro further cleared the air that they were ruthless going into the third game of the series after winning the first two.

He further claimed that people sitting outside should avoid making such statements especially due to the fact all those personalities are not part of the dressing room. Sharma has been vocal in the past as well for his side after they have been subjected to criticism revolving around various matters.

"Honestly, when you win two games, if the people outside are feeling that we are overconfident, it's absolutely rubbish, because you want to do your best in all four games. You don't want to stop by winning just two games, it is as simple as that,"

"Obviously, all these guys, when they talk about being overconfident and all that, especially the guys who are not part of the dressing room, they don't know what kind of talk happens in the dressing room. Ruthless is the word that comes to my mind, and it comes to every cricketer's mind, being ruthless."

This all became a topic of discussion after the home side were thrashed in the previous game of the series by the visiting Australia team led by stand-in skipper Steve Smith.

However, now, they will aim to make a comeback in the fourth and final Test of the series to be played from 9th of March in Ahmedabad.
