ICC Rankings keep on giving us surprises as the battle to be the best Test bowler keeps getting hotter.

India's Ravichandran Ashwin and England's James Anderson have been playing a cat and mouse game for some time. Last month, Anderson displaced Pat Cummins from the top of the rankings, and became the number one ranked Test bowler.

In the latest Test rankings, released by ICC, there is a tie at the top of the charts, with Ashwin and Anderson sharing the joint number one spot.

After collecting just four wickets in the 9-wicket loss against Australia in Indore, Ashwin dropped six rating points and has tied with Anderson at 859 rating points.

Cummins, who missed the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar series, and will also miss the fourth one, keeps his position at the third spot, but has fallen down of the pecking order. However, there is a new name to challenge Ashwin and Anderson.

After an impressive showing in the first Test against West Indies, South African seamer, Kagiso Rabada has climbed three spots to fourth position, with 807 rating points. He picked up 8 wickets in the match and witnessed a surge in his ranking.

Another spinner who joins the top-10 list is Australia's Nathan Lyon. The wily off-spinner took 8 for 64 in India's second innings, and turned out to be the game changer. As a result of his performance, Lyon jumped five places to number nine.

In the batting charts, Australia's Usman Khawaja jumps two places to the ninth spot, and South Africa's Aiden Markram, who scored a stunning century in the first Test against West Indies, witnessed a rise of 21 places to 33rd.
