India's qualification for the ICC World Test Championship Final will be at stake when they take on Australia in the fourth and final Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2023 at Ahmedabad starting tomorrow.

Speaking on the eve of the Test, skipper Rohit Sharma said the side is focused on the 'job at hand' and not heeding much outside noise as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian PM Anthony Albanese are scheduled to visit the stadium ahead of the start of play on Day 1.

Sharma further backed out-of-form keeper-batter KS Bharat and accepted that Team India is missing Rishabh Pant's services.

Bharat has had an impressive time behind the wickets, while struggling to score runs, managing just 57 runs in three Tests. Several reports suggested that Ishan Kishan could replace Bharat in the starting XI.

Here's what Sharma said

"KS Bharat is new to DRS, something new for him. Give him more time to understand. Slightly unfair to judge Bharat on these kinds of wickets. Need to give him some room. I told him to not worry, he will get enough time to prove himself.

Pant is a big miss, we know what he can do with the bat. And keeping he has done so well. Since Pant was not available, we got Ishan. Even when Ishan Kishan gets his chance, we won’t drop him after two games,"

A shocking defeat in the third Test has put the Indian side in limbo, with curators yet to reveal which out of the two centre wickets the match will be played on.

Sharma also rubbished talks about India getting overconfident after winning the Nagpur and Delhi Tests, which resulted in his side losing the Indore encounter.

India lead the BGT 2-1.
