Legendary IPL Captain Hails KL Rahul During LSG's New Jersey Launch Event

Experienced Indian batter KL Rahul has received massive backlash of late due to his ordinary performance in international cricket. Despite getting ample backing from the team management, the Lucknow Super Giants captain has failed to live up to the expectations, managing only 38 runs in two Tests in the ongoing series against Australia.
Following his frequent dismal outings, Rahul was finally dropped from the side, with promising Punjab batter Shubman Gill replacing him in the Indore Test.
Meanwhile, legendary Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has come in support of the Karnataka batter during his tough time.
Gambhir, who mentors Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL, hailed the stylish batter for his composed demeanour.
Speaking to the media during LSG's jersey launch event, the former KKR skipper explained what makes Rahul an asset for the Lucknow-based franchise.
Here's what Gambhir stated
"We are very fortunate to have someone like KL Rahul, who has a very stable and balanced head. I wish I had it, I did not have that. I was very extreme, but it did work for me. For a franchise like Lucknow, it is important to have someone like KL at the helm. Going forward, this is going to be a massive positive for us."
Lucknow Super Giants, who managed to storm through the Eliminator in their inaugural IPL outing last year, will begin this year's campaign against Delhi Capitals on April 1.
