Pakistani fast bowler, Naseem Shah, recently opened up on the significance of line and length in cricket. He opined that pace alone cannot guarantee victory and reiterated the importance of remaining steadfast in times of adversity.

Speaking to Cricket Pakistan, the 20-year-old expressed his disappointment with the Quetta Gladiators' lacklustre performance in the ongoing season, pointing out that the team was struggling in all three facets of the game - batting, bowling, and fielding.

As a player, Naseem acknowledged the difficulties that come with playing in a team that is not performing well, stating that it can be disheartening.

Naseem discussed his longstanding partnership with fellow fast bowler Muhammad Hasnain, emphasizing that they often deliberate the need to deliver a performance that results in a team win.

According to the seamer, a bowler cannot rely solely on pace to intimidate the opposing team. Instead, the bowler needs to use their intelligence and other factors, such as pace, to their advantage.

Furthermore, Naseem spoke about his inspirations in the bowling department, citing Shane Warne as an early influence. However, he recognized that he has learned new techniques from other notable bowlers like Waqar Younis and Umar Gul, especially in the T20 format.

The young prodigy stressed the importance of maintaining humility and balancing fame and success with responsibility, citing his family's reputation and his past experiences as guiding forces in his life.
