Three players from three different countries have been nominated for ICC Men's Player of the Month Award for February 2023 – Harry Brook, Ravindra Jadeja and Gudakesh Motie.

Harry Brook scored two fifties and a hundred in February. He started the month on a poor note, managing only six runs in an ODI against South Africa. However, there was no stopping him after that.

In the first Test against New Zealand at Mount Maunganui, Brook hit half-centuries in both innings and was also awarded the Player of the Match. In the second Test at Wellington, Brook scored a career-best 186 from 176 balls, which was laced with 24 fours and five sixes. Earlier, he won the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for December 2022.

India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, on the other hand, has been sensational in the on-going Border Gavaskar Trophy.

During the first Test in Nagpur, Jadeja registered figures of 5/47 with the ball, while also chipping in 70 runs with the bat. In the second Test in Delhi, he picked up 3/68 in the first innings while also scoring 26 runs in a 59-run stand for the fifth wicket. Jadeja was even better in the second innings, registering 7/42 with the ball. The Saurashtra all-rounder won the Player of the Match award in both the Tests.

Gudakesh Motie, meanwhile, impressed on West Indies' tour of Zimbabwe, picking up19 wickets in the two-Test series to help his side win the series 1-0. In the first Test at Bulawayo, the left-arm spinner picked up 2/110 in the first innings, followed by 4/50 in the second innings. In the second Test, he picked 13/99, and subsequently won both Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards.
