I Don't Believe In The Hype: Michael Kasprowicz Ends The Debate Around Pitches

With all the unnecessary attention being given to pitches even before the series started, the drama is still there as the fourth Test is about to begin between India and Australia.

Previously, the pitch for the third Test in Indore was rated 'Poor' by the ICC due to its spinning nature causing a disbalance between bat and ball. Apart from this, the first two Tests ended within three days that happened in Nagpur and Delhi, respectively.

However, former Australian pacer Michael Kasprowicz has cleared the debate regarding the matter. The 51-year-old stated that it was just hype built around the pitches and it didn't meant anything except for the fact that Indian tracks are like this only.

Moreover, he emphasised on the fact that it is because of moisture that made the ball turn much in the last game and as the sun came out, it became normal for batting.

"I don’t believe the hype I reckon because for all the attention around the pitches they were typically Indian wickets. I realise this last one in Indore did a few tricks early on, but because they’re starting so early (9.30 am), maybe that little bit of moisture helps grab the ball,

"But at other stages later in the day, it wasn’t doing anything like that. When I say don’t believe the hype, I know the odd ball was turning square, and it got a poor rating."

India and Australia will engage in the final battle that will happen at Ahmedabad stadium from 9th of March.
