Australia's Grace Harris took the Indian audience by storm when she slammed a 26-ball 59* against the Gujarat Giants in match three of the ongoing Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023 representing the UP Warriorz last evening.
Harris snitched a 70-run stand with Sophie Ecclestone to dig her side out of the ditch, reeling at 88 for 5, chasing 170 to win. While this is not Harris's first rodeo, the 29-year-old is known for being a maverick in the Women's Big Bash League playing for the Brisbane Heat.

Relatively young in her international cricket for Australia in terms of appearances, with nine ODIs and 33 T20Is, Harris has played for sides like the Melbourne Renegades, Heat, and Queensland domestically to much success.
Harris has two centuries and ten fifties in 102 WBBL matches, managing to amass 2,076 runs, having been part of the competition since its inception.
The hard-hitting all-rounder was the first player to slam a century in WBBL history in the 2015 season and has consistently been among the top-run-getters.
Interestingly, her second WBBL ton is the fastest-ever in the tournament; 42 balls - which is also the second-fastest in Women's 20-over cricket, Deandra Dottin slammed 38-ball 100.
A handy bowler, she has scalped 63 wickets as well. Her skills helped Heat win back-to-back WBBL titles in 2018-19 and 2019-20 edition, where she scored 586 runs, and picked up 22 wickets, combined.
A self-confessed fan of MS Dhoni's batting, the all-rounder won the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) with Queensland in 2020-21 edition, and since been a regular with the national team.
She was brought by UP Warriorz for INR 75 lakhs in the WPL Auction.WPL 2023 might very much be the start of the legend of Harris, who has all the ingredients to propel herself into the next big thing in the women's T20 and make this tournament brighter than how it already shines.
