Mark Taylor Pours an 'Emotional Message' for 'Late Great' Shane Warne

Former Australian skipper, Mark Taylor has penned down an 'emotional' message for the late Shane Warne on his death anniversary. Taylor stated that it's difficult to believe that a year passed since the world was shocked, knowing that Warnie is no more.
What transpired on March 4?
It was on March 4, 2022 that the world heard the tragic news that Shane Warne, 52, passed away due to a sudden heart-attack. The news broke just hours after it was announced that former Australian keeper-batter, Rod Marsh had died.
What did Taylor say?
Taylor believes that if Warne was alive today, he would have been so proud seeing the development in the world of cricket, especially England's 'Bazball.'
"I think he'd be quite chuffed to see what's happening in the game at the moment, not just the spinners in India, but the way England are playing a better, more exciting brand of cricket. All of that would have delighted Shane, that the players still see Test cricket as the ultimate form of the game, as he did."
Warne was a central figure of Australian cricket for almost two decades. The second highest wicket-taker in Tests, the leg-spinner made a name for himself at a young age and became popular because of his on-field antics.
Taylor reckons that Warne's passing has left a massive void in international cricket, and the world is surely missing the greatest spinner of all-time.
"It's bloody sad. I didn't realise it had been a year, to be honest. It's gone so quickly. I know we all think of Warnie at various times, particularly when you see balls turning so much as they are in India at the moment, because it sparks memories of some of the special things he was able to do on the field.
There's no doubt there's a void there, for sure. He had plenty of opinions, and I didn't always agree with all of them, but he had such a love for the game."
The Melbourne-born cricketer retired from international cricket after The Ashes 2006-07, and played franchise cricket afterwards.
