Things came to a pretty pass for Madhya Pradesh as despite their bowlers' good show, the Rest of India continued to pull the strings, riding on Yashasvi Jaiswal's ton.

Jaiswal rescues collapse-hit Rest of India

Jaiswal pressed on his rich form as the southpaw backed his double ton with another scintillating century. While Avesh Khan and Ankit Kushwah made early inroads in the morning, bringing the Rest of India to 122/5 from 103/1, Jaiswal reigned supreme amidst the collapse to resurrect his side.

The youngster devised a 61-run partnership with Atit Sheth while also bringing up his hundred in the process.

After Sheth's dismissal, Jaiswal collaborated with Pulkit Narang to lead another vital stand of 43 runs. However, as the centurion fell as the Rest of India's eighth wicket on a Saransh Jain delivery, the team folded soon at the score of 246, taking a lead of 436 runs.

Mantri shows fighting spirit
