Islamabad United's skipper, Shadab Khan, has expressed his desire for a resounding performance from his team against the Karachi Kings, after a disheartening batting collapse in their previous game against the Lahore Qalandars, where they were bowled out for a mere total of 90 runs.

Addressing the media in a pre-match press conference held in Islamabad, the multifaceted all-rounder revealed his aspirations to register the fastest century of this season, a feat that is likely to establish his prominence as a remarkable batsman.

Furthermore, the United captain emphasized the importance of maintaining an aggressive and daring approach towards batting, without being intimidated by the fear of failure. Shadab acknowledged that playing without fear could often result in a batting collapse, however, he emphasized that such instances should not deter the players from taking risks and pushing their boundaries to achieve extraordinary results.

The 24-year-old cricketer advised his players to remain patient and supportive of each other, enabling them to play without the anxiety of making errors. Despite the Karachi Kings' lacklustre performance in the ongoing tournament, having suffered five consecutive losses, Shadab refrained from underestimating the team's capabilities.

The all-rounder acknowledged the Karachi Kings as a formidable franchise that could bounce back with a vengeance, and he insisted that his team must remain vigilant and give their best performance to secure a victory.

The two sides will lock horns on Friday, March 3. The high-octane clash will take place at the Pindi Club Ground in Rawalpindi. While Islamabad will look to get back to winning ways by moving on from their humiliating 110-run loss against Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings will look to change their fortunes in the competition as they go looking for their third win of the season.
