Former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Virat Kohli, has called upon an anecdote from the past, where a fan guided him and MS Dhoni about how the team composition should be.

While talking about the incident back from 2014, Virat Kohli shared a funny but surprising tale on the RCB podcast, where a certain fan tried teaching Indian cricketers how they should play.

The incident happened on a flight after India's disastrous England tour, where not only did the Indian side get dismantled by a series margin of 3-1, but the dashing right-handed batter smelled the lethal on his maiden tour to England.

While describing the incident, the RCB cricketer said: "The man first headed to Mahi (MS Dhoni) and started talking about how the team composition should be and MS ignored it efficiently. He then shifted his focus to me and asked me what exactly is going on with my bat."

Further, he talked about how an archon and young Kohli engaged in discussion with the fan, who then wanted the batter to score a century in the next game.

"The man said that he wanted a hundred from me in the next game. I was young back then and that kind of flicked the switch and I invited him for a conversation," he added.

During the time, the Indian star batter could only amass 134 runs in 10 innings, averaging 13 without even registering a single half-century.

"I asked him where he works and he mentioned some company. Then I asked him about his designation and he mentioned that he was some kind of manager. I then replied saying in the next three years, I want you to be the chairman of the company."

After the conversation with Kohli, the modern-day great said that the fan soon realised that international cricket is no child's play.

Meanwhile, the right-hander is going through a challenging phase. Since 2021, he's averaging 25.63 in Test cricket without scoring a hundred in the format since November 2019.
