SA vs WI, Tea Report: Test Match Evenly Poised As West Indies Self-Destruct

Test match is the real deal and teams like West Indies and South Africa are keeping it alive by playing a thrilling contest.

Chasing a tricky 247, West Indies batters had no answer to South Africa's firing attack and at the Tea break, the visitors are 93 for 6, with more than half the side back in the hut.

The visitors had already lost skipper Kraigg Brathwaite in the previous session for a duck, and needed something special to pull off an incredible heist against one of the best bowling attacks at the moment.

The start of the second session couldn't have been worse for the Windies, as they lost Raymon Reifer for just 8. Tagenarine Chanderpaul followed him soon with Marco Jansen getting the big scalp for his side.

With three wickets down early, and the backs against the walls, West Indies needed a miracle, but that didn't happen, with Roston Chase getting back in the hut for a golden duck.

Every team needs a marathon man, and Jermaine Blackwood turned out to be that guy for them. He was beaten outside the edge a number of times, but the middle order batter showed great composure and notched up a gritty fifty under immense pressure.

The spine of the Windies batting lineup is back in the pavilion, and South Africa have one foot past the winning line. Blackwood is standing in front of them, but is hardly getting any support from the others.

South Africa will look to wrap things up quickly.
