India are on the verge of defeat in the third Test in Indore, but Cheteshwar Pujara is still confident that India can push Australia to the limits on Day 3.

It was a dismissal batting performance by the Indian team in the second innings. Barring Pujara, no one really got going and the team was bundled out for a paltry 163, giving Australia 76 runs to win their first game on the tour.

Nathan Lyon was the pick of the bowlers, showing his prowess once again, picking up 8 for 64 in the second innings to open the victory floodgates for the Aussies.

Despite India being on the verge of defeat, Pujara is relatively confidence that India can pull things back if thing to according to the plan.

"Thank you. It is one of the toughest track to bat on. I mean it's a hard task to bat here. Not at all easy to bat, one need to trust their defence. You need to get to the pitch of the ball if it's full, while you need to rock back if it's short. 75 runs is what we have and I know that is not a big lead, but there is something to bowl at."

Indore's rank turner back-fired on India as the batters failed against Australia's spin trio and the visitors took full advantage of it.

Talking about Pujara, he was the lone warrior for the Indian team, battling it hard against the Aussies and scoring a brisk 59.
