The two-time PSL champions Islamabad United have shared the latest update on their players' participation in the remaining season of the Pakistan Super League.

They have a series of setbacks to overcome, with the latest being an injury to Tymal Mill, who will miss the remaining PSL season.

Zeeshan Zameer, out of action in the early stages of the tournament due to injury, sustained a grade 1 quad tear in the match against Lahore Qalandars. However, he is expected to make a return before the end of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Colin Munro, the hard-hitting New Zealand batter, suffered a thumb injury while fielding.

But later, scans revealed no fracture; so, the Islamabad United management will assess Munro's condition ahead of their match against Karachi Kings on March 3rd and decide on his participation accordingly.

Alex Hales Arrives

Meanwhile, the Shadab Khan-led outfit has received a significant boost, with English opener Alex Hales joining the side ahead of their next match against Karachi Kings.

Hales' arrival comes at a crucial time for Islamabad United, who are looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat in their last match in the tournament.

The two-time champions faced a massive 110-run defeat against Lahore Qalandars in the last match. They struggled to get going against the opposition's bowling attack and were ultimately bowled out for only 90 runs.

With the inclusion of Hales, Islamabad United will have an extra batting option at the top of the order, allowing Colin Munro to bat in the middle order and providing the team with much-needed balance.

With three wins and two losses in the tournament, Islamabad United are currently placed third in the PSL standings.
